I am a mental health counselor licensed in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Missouri and Florida. I specialize in working with preteens/teens, self-esteem, identity issues, self-harm, social anxiety, confidence building, rebuilding/healing relationships, divorce, survivors of abuse, codependency, gifted/highly intelligent children, substance abuse, depression, and couples counseling.
My goal is to help each client find their own unique path towards healing and thriving in all areas of life. I am active and invested throughout the therapeutic process and provide strategies, techniques, and education from a holistic perspective. I use CBT, Narrative Therapy, and The Gottman Method. In many cases treatment involves a variation of counseling and life coaching.
I find that authenticity and empathy are the two most important things for a counselor to possess. My goal is to provide a safe place for clients to grow and heal, and am always looking for ways to improve my ability to provide that. I have had my own personal struggles that I have overcame, and this is a factor that helps me truly understand the client.
